Worcestershire Cicadas

 

Ingredients

  • 10 whole cicadas
  • 1⁄2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1⁄2 cup flour
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Cooking oil, as needed
  • 1⁄2 cup seafood cocktail sauce

Instructions

  1. Marinate the cicadas in Worcestershire sauce for 2 hours.
  2. Dip each cicada in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs
  3. Heat up oil in a large saucepan.
  4. Deep-fry the cicadas.
  5. Serve with seafood cocktail sauce.
